Hi Rev. Susanna!
Thank you so so much for an incredibly special day! It was more than I could have imagined and the experience is still sinking in (hence, my sleeplessness!). You truly were the glue that brought it all together and the glitter that made everything sparkle!
As I have said to you, I have known all along that I wanted C. to have a special baby blessing, but knew it couldn't happen until we found the right person-- YOU! We feel very blessed to have found you and to have had the privilege of having you officiate this most important day. And not only was the day special, you made C.'s blessing extraordinary-- namaste.
Also, thank you so much for the copy of beautifully written and arranged ceremony, thank you card and sun cards that you left up in Chase's nursery. What a great surprise! I hope you liked his room too! More furry friends!!!
I hope you felt how much you truly were appreciated. Everybody loved the ceremony and thought you were just phenomenal.
I know in my heart that this is only the beginning of our relationship. I will keep in touch and hope that you will do the same.
I am most grateful to the universal consciousness for bringing us together.
With so much love,
(C. and C. and J. and L.!!!)
Little Silver, NJ
When I first found your name on the internet I was so confused
on the type of ceremony I wanted for my unborn child.
I knew that since J. and I were married interfaith that
I would want my child to have an interfaith ceremony.
So I picked up the phone and called you that day during
my sixth month of pregnancy and I began to bombard you with
all the questions and concerns I had for this little angel
inside me. In all my uncertainty, the one thing I
knew was that I wanted my son to be honored. After
our initial conversation I was so at peace with the whole
idea of having you as our minister. So all I had to
do was wait for my son to be born. On November
6th, 2002, we welcomed with open arms and hearts,
the love of our life – Z. E. A.
In the beginning of December, J. and I decided that
we were definitely going to call you and set up the date
we would have our blessing. Again, you were your warm
and gentle self with us. During this conversation
you told us what would happen at the ceremony and what we
needed to do to prepare. I have to say that J was
a little skeptical about the whole process but as always
he agreed to give 100% of himself. I knew from the
survey of questions that we filled out, that this was going
to be an extraordinary event. I only knew of the selection
of a godparent through the Catholic religion but when you
told us we could have 4 spiritual mentors, we were ecstatic.
J. and I decided that we would have our brothers and two
friends to be Z.’s mentors. Our choices could not
have been more perfect. Whenever I had doubt in my
mind you always seemed to dismiss it. Your hard work
was so apparent on every single telephone conversation that
So the day finally came, we got Z. all ready for his blessing.
All the participants arrived to the ceremony not knowing
what to expect. I put all my faith and hope in you
and all I can say is you blew us all away. Throughout
this whole process, I just KNEW it would all work out.
Don’t get me wrong, I was definitely nervous but you constantly
calmed me. Susanna, you opened up everyone’s eyes
to faith ~ faith not in religion, but faith in our lives
and faith in each other. You taught everyone that
love does conquer all. I am so blessed to have so
much love in my life and I hope that the ceremony enlightened
all whom attended. After watching the tape, I finally
saw myself as Z.’s mom. This is something that everyone
else saw from the moment he was born, but something I witnessed
for the first time on April 26th. So thank you for
your spirit, your eloquent words and for celebrating my
You are a blessing to all.
I am still feeling so many
intense and wonderful emotions from the ceremony on Saturday. It is
hard to explain but now alone in silence, two days later the memory
of the ceremony is penetrating on a deeper level perhaps than in the
moment. There are a variety of things to be grateful for and I hope
to have the chance to express them all to you. But for now let me
just say thank you for helping me give my daughter this gift and for
helping me reach my family in a way that maybe I could not directly.
And for helping me to openly share my soul and who I am, as Nelson
Mandela implores. The connection that you and I have made and your
wonderful spirit allowed that to happen.
As you witnessed,
separate from the central intention of the ceremony, my family also
really needed to connect spiritually and your ministry was "the
way". Thank you for spending so much time with us after the
ceremony. I am especially grateful for the way you touched my father
who perhaps needed it the most at this point in time.
rare for me to share so much about myself with someone over the
phone, whom I have never met or know by referral and then to
surrender something as important as a baby blessing ceremony to
them. But somehow I just knew it was right and when I met you in
person this weekend my leap of faith was abundantly rewarded.
Hope this message finds you well. It seems that life has been a whirlwind since the blessing. I wanted to thank you SO much for all you've done to make the boys' blessing such a special memory for all of us. You know, as soon as I found out I conceived, I started thinking about you and planning the ceremony. I never stopped to ponder why until after the ceremony. Now I realize that between the sleep deprived blur of giving birth to the day-to-day grind, we could easily not think about what we actually have and how much we love our family. You gave us the opportunity to put life aside and appreciate our blessings. Honestly, it probably wouldn't have happened otherwise. Thank you for our beautiful memories and the gift of realizing how deep our feelings have grown for our family. I can't tell you how many people have complimented us on how beautiful the ceremony was. You worked so hard. As soon as I see the pictures, I will be certain to forward them to you.
Wishing you nothing but sunshine and rainbows, :)
N. and T. S.
Dear Reverend Susanna:
S. and I would like to thank you for making our son J.’s baby blessing so special and memorable. But more importantly, we would like to express our gratitude for bringing our families and religions together in such a loving and profound way. Still to this day, the guests who were present at J.'s ceremony comment on how thoughtful and truly powerful your blessing was. Like most of our friends and family, S. and I were left speechless with tears of joy running down our faces.
As you know all too well, an interfaith family comes with its inherent problems, and S. and I were beset with our own set of personal challenges. But, from the moment we met, you assured us that our ceremony would not only appease all in attendance, but would also be a sincerely heartwarming experience. Today, we not only look back at that day as a "heartwarming experience," but as a joyous, life changing event that we look forward to repeating with our future son, who is due to arrive in July.
Reverend Susanna, you are a truly a remarkable
woman. The time, love, and attention you gave to this ceremony
made us feel as if we were your only clients. I look forward
to working with you in the near future and hope that you
will be involved with our family's spiritual growth for
many years to come. Again, thank you.
I just wanted to write to you and let you know what an absolute pleasure it was meeting with you last night. My husband and I didn't know what to expect, but you welcomed us and spoke to us "without judgment" and it was a truly inspiring experience. There should be a million people like you in the world, and it would be a peaceful place. We are looking forward to S's ceremony more than ever, and we know that you will do a superb job. We hope to stay in contact with you for many years, I am so glad that we found you, and you have definitely left imprints in our hearts. Speak to you soon.
Hello!!!! First off I want to thank you thank you thank you for a wonderful experience. It was exactly what we wanted it to be. R. is funny!!! I will never forget him blessing you either:) that was a true testament to what an intimate ceremony it was!!
And like I said, you may hear from me out of the blue just to say hello....I love your spirit, your
energy! I could go on and on)
Take care and I'll talk to you soon.
I can't even begin to express in words the thanks
that Rob and I have for the beautiful baby naming ceremony that you
officiated for S. on Saturday. All of guests have called and said
how incredibly touching your words were. It was more extraordinary
then we ever imagined. The weather was beautiful, S. was an angel,
and I truly felt the presence of God with all of us on that day. I
look forward to staying in touch with you over the years as we watch
S. grow, and hopefully we'll have other occasions you can officiate
for us. We are sending you some pictures via regular mail of the
beautiful day, be looking for them.
All Our Love,
K. R. & S. G.
I knew it would be
difficult to bridge our families beliefs for Joshua’s baby naming.
In fact, I doubted if it was possible. It took someone who believes
so strongly in what she does to create such a sensitive and special
ceremony. It took someone who cares so much. Susanna, your heart,
your loving spirit really came through. We felt the spirit of God
through you. Our family is blessed to know you.
We are so grateful. And we hope you will remain in
our lives always!
The second day of a "better
life", this is what you have done for me! I have felt like crying of
joy after drinking your words, shortly on the phone, and then at the
baptism. Aye…the river of love is flowing again, you’ve opened the
gates of the dam. The new waters are better than any I have tasted
in my entire life, and although I do not hear God’s voice, I know he
dwells in me now. You are an angel from heaven.
With love to
And thanks forever
Thank you for making our day more special than we could have possibly imagined. You are an incredible human being and you have truly touched the lives of both of our families. Thank you again! PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH!!!!!
The ceremony was even more than we hoped for. We still are
getting phone calls and e-mails from our friends and family
that just gush over how wonderful the event was.
D. keeps yelling at me to write you a nice, fancy thank
you for your web site! This won't be it, however. As soon
as we finish getting everyone back to airports and we can
relax a little bit, I'll be better able to express our gratitude
and feelings. Also, we'll have more time to better reflect
on the ceremony.
So, for now, this is just a plain way to say "Thank you!!!"
More to come!!!
Dear Rev. Macomb,
We knew your ceremony would be special, but we didn’t expect
such an outpouring from you or our families! So many of
our friends and family commented how unique, inspired and
personal it all was. Your warmth, sincerity and passion
really came through! I think we will bask in this energy
for quite a while. We are definitely calling you for the
With Love and Gratitude,
The K. Family
Well, almost a week’s time to relax from
an emotional high, an enjoyable occasion plus the opportunity
to meet a tremendously interesting person. In a time filled
with much “newness” new relationships, new types of relationships,
new children in the family, we all look for the spark of
the secure. The link with tradition that helps us all to
realize that we have just witnessed (well, three months
of age) an occasion of our own immortality. Ok so the analogy
was a little “stilted”, never the less, you have satisfied
a great concern. I know that it was R.’s as much as mine,
what exactly would you do and how was it going to be received
by all of us? I want to thank you for what you did, I want
to thank you for how you did it, and most of all to tell
you that I feel all the richer now that I have met you.
Have a happy and a safe summer.

Hi Rev. Macomb,
I am T.’s great grandmother. I just wanted to say how
much I appreciated your ceremony. It was a very special
The phone has not stopped ringing about the ceremony. Everybody
loved it. Everybody loved YOU! Thank you for your time and
efforts. When things settle down, we would love to connect
again. Please keep in touch.
Hello. I hope all is well in "blessing land"!
This e-mail is long overdue. I'm sorry it’s so late.
First, the blessing was amazing, so beautiful! The words were amazing. The chapel was radiant. The weather divine. Everyone laughed and cried… I'm out of town right now but will forward pictures upon my return home next week. Thanks so much. You've done it again!
lots of love and light and thanks,
WOW! We blew everybody away with J.’s ceremony. I knew it was going to be special from the moment we met with you. You even won over the nay-sayers…especially Great Grandma! We feel you were brought to us by God.
Thank you for all your hard work.
Dear Rev. Susanna,
Everything went great on Sunday thanks to YOU! We were a little concerned (VERY) about our families’ reaction, but to their credit they really came around. Everyone commented how they had never seen a ceremony like that before. It was AMAZING!
A hundred and one thanks!
You are a genius!
Susanna, you did it again, another wonderful performance! We seem to have a wonderful tradition going here. You have seen our family grow and we so appreciate your efforts in making ceremony new and different. By the way, you really took R. and I by surprise with that vow renewal! I think we needed it. You knew that, didn’t you? The grandparents want us to have another baby just so the ceremonies won’t end! However, we are so DONE. I hope we don’t lose touch. I think of you as our spiritual mentor, friend and angel.
Rev. Susanna, Just a brief note of
thanks for making S’s ceremony (B's brissening--- dubbed
by D) everything we hoped for, everything we wanted. You
are really good at what you do.
Dear Rev. SusannaWe are so happy we found you! We think of B’s blessing ceremony so often and thank God he brought you into our lives. The ceremony was so beautiful and meaningful and is still talked about by our family and friends....THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
What a wonderful beginning for our family! We couldn’t have
asked for someone more special to bless our baby. Though
we had gone over it all with you, it was much better than
we could have imagined! We loved the way you included the
entire family. My mother commented that it was the most
beautiful ceremony of her entire life. We will be in touch.
We love you!

Dear Reverend Susanna Macomb,
Thank you so much for an amazing baby blessing ceremony for F. It was better than we ever imagined it would be and I’m glad we got it all on video!
You are an amazing soul and you even won over the skeptics! Everybody was raving about you.
I hope to have you do ceremonies for all my children, God willing. I wish you could come to bless my new house too!
Thank you again for an amazing experience.
M, L & F.E.B.
Dear Reverend Susanna,
There are no words to describe what a wonderful spiritual experience K.’s blessing was for our family. None of us had ever experienced such emotion during a ceremony. You took such care, made so much effort on our children’s behalf, and we are forever grateful. Everybody fell in love with you! No one had anything but praise for the minister and her beautiful service. Here, two days afterwards, and we are still talking about it.
D. and L. tell us that you will be doing their next child, so we look forward to the next one!
Oh my gosh, Susanna! I just wanted to tell
you that R.'s baby welcoming ceremony was one of the most
beautiful services I have ever seen. I think your words
will stay with me for days and days---actually forever!
from all of us!
I think the best compliment I can give you is that everyone in my entire family wanted to take you home with them.
It was beyond our expectations.
Thanks so much, Susanna, for everything! The ceremony was beyond our dreams. We heard nothing but good things from everyone.
By the way, YOU are a wonderful mother....We were so impressed with how you interact with your son!! You are an inspiration to new parents like D. and myself!
Dear Reverend Susanna,
Thank you for blessing my three wonderful grandchildren. I don’t know of any other minister who works the way you do! It was all so intimate and inspired. You brought our family closer together.
Now if T. and J. would just have more children so we could keep having your services!
Let us know if you ever join a church!
I have to tell you that after so many “let’s get this over with” ceremonies it was refreshing to be in a ceremony where we were all so engaged.
Authentic is another word that comes to mind.
It really was a cool experience!
You are GOOD!
Thank you very much for creating a beautiful blessing ceremony for our girls. Everyone has told us that they enjoyed the way you blended both traditions and rituals so well.
Also, thank you for your advice and comforting before the ceremony. I still have various feelings about having the babies formally baptized in the Catholic Church. We may just do that in the future. It's an ongoing process and J. and I are willing to discuss and make new decisions in the future. However, for now, this was the perfect way to welcome and bless our new babies.
Thank you again and we will keep in touch!
J. and T. B.
Being Jewish, I had my reservations having a minister (yes, even an interfaith minister) do my child’s naming ceremony. Now, I would trust anything that you do. We will call you for our next child. I am so glad that R. found you.
I have had the privilege to have been in attendance at two
of your ceremonies now, K. and T’s wedding and J’s baptism..
All I can say is that when you speak I find myself hanging
on your every word. Should my boyfriend ever propose, I
will be calling you to do my wedding and my children’s ceremonies
God bless you for bringing so much joy into the world.
Just a quick note to thank you for the beautiful ceremonies you did for my grandchildren.
There was only one problem, I couldn’t stop crying! Thank you for bringing us closer as a family.
Thank you for reminding us as to how lucky we are to have one another.
May God bless you and all your good work.
Hello Reverend Macomb,
This is E. and L.’s aunt. I wondered how you were going to top L.’s ceremony, and you did! You are one of our new found treasures, and we certainly hope that we will see you again someday.
Our family can’t get enough of you!
Thanks for doing such a wonderful joy in making A.’s christening so special.
I enjoyed our conversation and only wish it could have lasted longer.
I guess I won’t be seeing you for awhile---which is unfortunate.
I attended J. baby naming and it was an amazing experience. I found myself really listening. I am Jewish and I never thought I would want a minister to do my wedding ceremony, however, I want you to do my ceremony when I get married!
You will be hearing from me soon (I hope!)
Thank you again, Susanna. The ceremony was beautiful and you truly are an inspirational person.
I received many compliments on the ceremony from individual family members- religious and non-religious-and thought it was wonderful.
Thank you-see you for the next one!
Thank you for your wonderful service and your kind words. It was a flawless day and we're extremely happy. Everyone commented on it.
I hope you had a good trip home and we'll be in touch!
Dear Rev. Macomb,
When R. was born, we were unsure what ceremony would be
appropriate given our backgrounds. You created exactly what
we wanted. Our families were relieved and grateful. Thank
you for blessing our baby. And thank God for the internet.
Dear Rev. Susanna,
We will always remember with fondness the warm and loving minister who blessed our precious little girl. When we had J. , we knew we wanted to have a ceremony and to have her blessed. However, not practicing any organized religion or belonging to any church made it very challenging. Your ceremony surpassed all our expectations. Family and friends commented that they had never witnessed such a personal, moving ceremony. You brought out the best in all of us and we thank you. We are so lucky to have found you!
N. O., and J.
We just wanted to drop you this
note to thank you again for everything. The day was so special and we
couldn’t imagine it being any more perfect than it was. Your special
touch was just incredible. We were so blessed that we found your
name on the web. We wish you and your family all the best and we
look forward to keeping in touch.
J. and J S.
Thank you for blessing our baby and making the day so special.
Many people commented as to the care and preparation you
took to create such a unique ceremony. We can’t wait to
see the look on B.’s face as she watches the video in the
years to come.
P., L. and B.
Dear Rev. Macomb,
Just a note to say that I attended E.’s
baptism and we were incredibly moved by the event.

Rev. Susanna Macomb:
I am a good friend of A. and S. Q.. I was fortunate enough
to be at their wedding and J’s "Brissening." Both ceremonies
were absolutely beautiful because you so eloquently expressed
and embodied the love that existed in a room.
Thanks so much for your time.
You are really good at what you do! Thanks again for all
you did in making J.’s day so special.
Dear Reverend Susanna,
We cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel for all
that you have done for us. J.'s blessing was so beautiful,
beyond anything we could have imagined. You brought such
joy to our day, warmth to our lives, and happiness to our
hearts. Your words were so thoughtful and inspirational. You definitely touched us as well as everyone else in the
room. All of our friends and family remarked at how personal
and beautiful the ceremony was. We also wish to thank you
for speaking with everyone and offering comforting words
during a difficult time. Thank you also for checking in
on us and keeping us in your prayers as we prepare for J.'s
surgery. We will definitely let you know how J. does with
his surgery. We are biased because J. is our son, but we
feel truly blessed by his incredible spirit and we thank
you for helping us share it with everyone at his blessing.
Love and Blessings always,
S. C. and J.
Just wanted to thank you again for everything! A's naming
day was one of the best days of my life. The ceremony was
so beautiful and was all I hoped for and more! Everyone
was blown away!
I am sending you pics!

Thank you SO MUCH for Saturday! We have had so many good comments from guests. And we three are still glowing. We appreciate so much everything you've given us! Thank you for your important contribution of time, effort, sharing and love to our family. S.'s blessings was an amazing experience from start to finish and its effects are lingering on and on. We are so luck to have found you! Thank you for helping us celebrate our S!
With love and gratitude and all good things,

I just wanted to let you know how moved I was by the beautiful baptism of my grandson N.. It was such a personal ceremony, I have never experienced anything like it. You captured the essence of our entire family. You made everyone who is special to N. feel very special and appreciated!
Your exuberance, love and faith was contagious! There was not one person at the service who was not deeply touched and moved by it. Even my brother G., who was not able to attend as he has been seriously ill and is in the hospital, was moved to tears when his wife told him how you included him.
K. and M. are two very special people, and I knew that they would have something very unique, but I never expected the beautiful experience it was.
Again, I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful experience.
Thank you, thank you, thank you 100 times for yesterday. It was such a wonderful day and we owe it all to you. Everyone commented on how special it was and what an incredible job you always do! You are so special and wonderful and we are so lucky to have been able to have had both our sons blessed by such an amazing woman.
Let's definitely keep in touch! Talk to you soon.

What can I say, you are absolutely the best! Thank you for touching our lives!

Hi Rev. Macomb.
Just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your advice
last week. You helped more than you know. The fact that you just happened
to call that day just confirms my belief even more that everything in life
really does happen for a reason. You are the exact person I needed to speak
with at that moment and the phone rang and it was you. P. and I ended up
having a wonderful evening together and talked a lot of the things we were
both feeling through and things are so much better. I can't thank you
enough, you truly are an amazing person. You made me feel so much calmer
about things and made me realize how what we were dealing with is so common
and I was definitely able to communicate my feelings a lot better, Thanks
Again!!!! P. and I are so excited about planning M.'s baby blessing
and I am going to get in touch with E. to firm up a date. Again, thank
you for all of your help and kind words. Speak to you soon. OH, any word
on your book? We are so excited for it.
I have been meaning to email you since the AWESOME event! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful! It surpassed all of my expectations as your ceremonies always do!
I hope you are doing well and we thank you again and again for such a wonderful ceremony!
Thanks so much Susanna...for EVERYTHING!!!!
Love and Gratitude,
It was a pleasure meeting you. It was so much fun. You are so instinctive and talented!! Such a warm person too. S. is so blown away by all I told him about our meeting. He can't believe I found you!
Love and hugs,
The ceremony was so amazingly beautiful and personal, I can't thank you enough. And after watching you in person, it was very apparent that you really have found your calling.
Thank you doesn't seem to cover it... but thank you anyway, for making our baby's blessing ceremony more special than we could have hoped for.
Dear. Rev. Macomb,
I have to give you the greatest compliment possible. My skeptical husband told me that
the day of our grandson's ceremony was not only extraordinary, but one of the highlights of his life! I knew I would cry through it all, but the fact that it (and you) affected him so much really surprised me.
God bless you and all you do in bringing interfaith families together!
I've just been sitting here sobbing reading your email about the baby blessing.
Thank you for all of your support and beautiful, kind and eloquent words. You always touch me very deeply and I know that you understand what I've been through trying to have this baby.
We think you and your work are a gift.
I hope to connect with you in 2007. You often come to mind
and are truly one of the most memorable spirits I have encountered
on my path. Despite my time and distance, I hope to reconnect.
Until then, be well.
Hi Rev. Macomb!
Thanks again so much for the gorgeous, inspired and very touching blessing.
We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what you wrote!
It is amazing how much you grasped.
I believe F.’s spirit led me to you.
We can’t thank you enough for writing our ceremony.
We will send you pictures!
You are so wonderful!
It would have taken me years to come up with all of this. A. would have been ready for her coming of age celebration!
Lots of love and thanks,
C., myself and J. would like to thank you from the bottom
of our hearts for the amazingly beautiful and touching ceremony
you created for J.'s blessing. We could not have asked for
anything more. You touched us and everyone who attended.
It was also wonderful of you to speak with my family during
this difficult time. Unfortunately my grandfather passed
away on Tuesday morning.
We would like to wish you and your family all the best we
will update you on J.'s condition after his surgery.
Thanks again for all you have done for us and all of your
